Dear Network Partner,

The date of our TMR Network Meeting is drawing closer and I am sending you some additional information about the meeting.

I enclose a provisional programme for the day. Each team has been allocated 30 minutes for their presentation(s). This includes time for discussion. However the programme is flexible and if there are several people from one Team who wish to present then we can fit this in. Refreshments, lunch and early evening drinks will be served at the Jodrell Laboratory where we are holding the meeting. There should also be time to look around the Gardens.

The dinner will be held at a local restaurant and all participants and accompanying persons are warmly invited to join the group. The cost of the dinner will be approx. 25-30 GBP. Unless I hear otherwise I will assume that everyone will attend the dinner. Please let me know if you have any special dietary requirements.

Travel

Arrival at London Heathrow:

If you provide me with details of your flight number and arrival time I can arrange for a taxi to take you directly to the hotel (this will be cheaper than taking a taxi from the airport yourself).

If you wish to make your own way to the hotel you can use the Underground (follow the signs from the terminal). Purchase a ticket to Richmond.

(1)   Travel towards London as far as Hammersmith station (this is on the Picadilly line - dark blue stripe on the map). Approx. 30 minutes.

(2)   Change trains here, cross to the other platform and take a District Line train (green stripe on the maps) to Richmond (westbound, approx. 20 minutes). Make sure that you do not take the train which goes to Ealing Broadway ! When you reach Richmond (the last stop) go out to the front of the station and take a taxi to the Richmond Hill Hotel (5-10 minutes away).

Arrival at London Gatwick

Please let me know if you require directions to Richmond from this airport.

Friday night

I have not made any formal arrangements for dinner on Friday night as I do not have times of arrival as yet. However the Hotel has a very good restaurant and it will be possible for you to eat there if you wish. There are also many restaurants in Richmond within 5-10 minutes walk of the Hotel.

Saturday morning

A minibus will leave the Richmond Hill Hotel at 08:45 to bring you to the Jodrell Laboratory for the meeting.
